Like many people in the northern hemisphere of our planet, 2022 is the year of heatwaves, droughts, and forest fires.

We have all heard about global warming and seen graphs and projections of increasing temperatures, but it takes a heatwave for the statistics to become a sensation as we mop the sweat from our brows!

But has this anything to do with religion or should a theologian even use time in thinking about it?

Let me tell you a little story about last Sunday.Taking his cue from the heatwave which had many of those in the building using their hymnbooks as fans (at my latitude air con is unknown in churches), a friend of mine preached about climate change. His argument was a simple one:
