Anne 0'Connor has alerted us to the latest news from the Justice and Peace Network.
Marian, the editor of Mouthpeace writes
"There are signs of hope in our troubled world. The NPJN Conference in July at Swanwick focused on hope as something positive and active. Those of us who were fortunate to be able to go were inspired by the many people who are working in such varied ways to build a just, peaceful and sustainable future for us all. The joy of meeting in person again means we not only hear the speakers in the main hall but in our individual encounters in workshops, at meals, in the Just Fair hall and around the Centre, we learn of activities large and small with which indivduals and groups are involved. They may not make the main podium as speakers but they encourage and inspire us nevertheless. At the end of the conference we were given paper and coloured pens and in groups ‘dared to dream’ of the future. If you missed the Conference you can catch up with some of the speakers https://www.justice-andpeace.org.uk/conference/. "
"Putting together this Mouthpeace I had the same positive feeling to counterbalance the usual sad gloomy news on the media. Good things are quietly going on in our areas - people are coming together to get things done not just here in the UK but in various parts of our world. There is hope and as Christians we have a responsibility to share this with others."
